The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) conducts periodic field measurements of radiofrequency (RF) radiation levels in collaboration with academic and research institutions in the Kingdom. Measurement methods conform to internationally recognized best practices. The measurements are meant to verify the performance of wireless operators and service providers in meeting CITC guidelines for limiting exposure from wireless base stations. All measurements conducted to date have shown that the RF radiation levels from base station antennas were significantly lower than the limit allowed by the CITC guidelines and thus fall within the safe limits established by the international organizations responsible for setting relevant standards.
