CITC has lunched recently a new license for the provision of wholesale infrastructure services, which aims to enhance competition and increase the selling wholesale services to the  licensed facility based provider (fixed, Data and mobile), which will reduce the expenses on network operators in line with global trends. It also provides the possibility of sharing towers of existing telecommunications companies or those wishing to sell or transfer ownership of their telecom towers to other entities, it is expected that new investors will enter the market which will create new investment and opportunities as well as improve the efficiency of the telecom infrastructure.

CITC identified the range of services that can be provided through building, owning, operating and selling telecom infrastructure elements such as towers, masts, small cells, distributed antenna systems (DAS), internal solutions (IBS) and wireless access points, dark fibers and ducts, as well as connection services for tower sites or active fixed access and access circuits, wholesale services for active fixed data links, and active access and access services.

Wholesale infrastructure services license is part of supporting the growth and strategic transformation of the communications and information technology sector harnessing the public interest and the interests of users and investors.
