Radio Spectrum for IMT-2020 and beyond: Fostering commercial and innovative use ITU Workshop hosted by CITC Saudi Arabia
     8-10 December 2020

The Communication and Information Technology Commission (CITC) is pleased to announce an international online workshop held in partnership with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) focusing on fostering the commercial and innovative use of radio spectrum for the International Mobile Telecommunications-2020 standard and beyond. The workshop comes in line with CITC's strategic initiative "Enabling commercial and innovative uses of the frequency spectrum" as part of its newly launched National Frequency Spectrum Strategy 2025.

 

The event aims to explore global trends in commercial and innovative uses of the frequency spectrum through a group of specialists from various researchers, manufacturers, users and regulators of modern wireless technologies. The workshop will see the participation of more than 70 speakers drawn from senior officials and specialists at various governmental, private and academic agencies from over 20 countries around the world. 


These include representatives from wireless industries in the fields of satellites, mobile communications, the Internet of Things and license-exempt technologies, as well as speakers from telecom and information technology regulators in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany and Australia.
