To support innovation in informational technology and digital transformation, The Communication and Information Technology (CITC) invited the public to vote for Saudi Arabia's projects competing for the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) prizes 2020.

Saudi Arabia is competing with more than 34 projects, from over 26 government and private sector entities, participating in 16 branches of the prize.  Reviewing and voting for the participating projects is open until January 24, 2020, via ITU's website.

Moreover, Saudi Arabia's participation in the WSIS prizes dates back to its inception in 2012. Since then, the Kingdom has won 9 awards and 14 certificates of excellence.

The WSIS Prizes contest was developed by the ITU to evaluate projects and activities that leverage the power of information and communication technologies to advance sustainable development.
