The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), chaired the GCC group's prep meeting for the World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC).

The meeting, which was led by the General Manager of Frequency Spectrum Monitoring at CITC, Eng. Mohammad Al-Abdulqader, discussed many topics concerning the WRC 2023 agenda.

To reach a common vision, the group discussed topics related to radio communication in GCC and Arab countries, including technical, operational and regulatory issues.

The World Radiocommunication Conference is held every three or four years, and it revolves around reviewing the radio regulations,  international agreements governing the use of the radio frequency spectrum according to an agenda set by the International Telecommunication Union Council.​
