​​​​Quality of Service Field Measurements
CITC conducts field measurements in both Mecca and Medina in each of season of Hajj and Umrah in Ramadan to check the compliance of mobile communications Service providers in the Kingdom technical and regulatory standards set by the Commission for the quality of service provided in accordance with best practices and experiences of international harmony with the Global standards. The Commission also conducted similar measurements in a number of different sites in the Kingdom which are selected according to the criteria set by the Commission. This field measurements are made in collaboration with Al-Imam Muhammad Ibin Saud Islamic University, King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals, Umm Al-Qura University, and Taibah University. These measurements include several indicators such as signal strength, error rate in sending and receiving pulse symbols of the data, the time it takes to establish a call, and call rate that are not and sound quality​
