Today, The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC) issued a document for "Classification of Information Technology and Emerging Technologies Market Business".
CITC explained that this document aims to establish principles of classification, definition, categorization, and evaluation for the IT and emerging technologies market in KSA. While monitoring and harmonizing the forces of supply and demand in this dynamic market. The issuance of this classification comes as a result of thorough a study and analysis of the best local and international practices and standards in classifying information technology markets.
CITC also announced the trial launch of “Manassa Tech", a platform dedicated for registering enterprises operating in the IT and emerging technologies sector. By launching this platform, CITC aims to increase transparency in the market, ensure fair competition and create a reference guide for the enterprises operating in the sector.
