The Communications and Information Technology Commission (CITC), hosted a training program specialized in digital regulations, in cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the World Bank, and a group of prominent academic bodies. With the aim of raising the level of organizational awareness, and developing skills in the field of digital regulations.

His Excellency the Governor of CITC, Dr. Mohammad bin Saud Al-Tamimi, as well as the Director of the Telecommunication Development Bureau of the International Telecommunication Union, Ms. Doreen Bogdan Martin attended the program's closing ceremony, and presented more than 60 trainees with certificates for their participation. The group of trainees came from various government and private agencies in the Kingdom, and received an overview of digital regulations, the process of digital regulation, organizational maturity across different sectors, and organizational governance mechanisms. As well as shedding light on the journey of digital regulation in the Kingdom, and defining criteria for measuring readiness for digital transformation.

The program comes within CITC's framework to become a fifth-generation digital regulator according to the classification of the International Telecommunication Union. Through the program, CITC seeks to improve the effectiveness of the regulatory environment in the Kingdom, and to achieve leadership in enabling and adopting digital technologies.
